Pro Sport Wealth Management Tees Off With The Professional Footballers Association

As an Official Partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) Pro Sport® Wealth Management sponsored the PFA’s annual golf day at Woburn Golf Club on 22nd September. Gareth Griffiths, Managing Director of Pro Sport® took part in the event at the venue which will also host the Masters on 11th October 2015.

This historic club is known for its prestigious Duke’s course, which was created in 1976, closely followed by the Duchess’ course in 1978. It wasn’t until 2000 that the Marquess’ Course was designed and implemented as the third instalment of this stunning establishment.

Gareth’s team consisted of Michael O’Neill who is the current Northern Ireland International football manager; Matt Target, father of the Southampton footballer of the same name and Steve Moss of Doyen Global.

The team didn’t let the torrential rain dampen their spirits and the course was in magnificent condition overall as one would expect from such prestigious grounds.

Former England player Mick Harford and his team were victorious, with Darren Wilson from the PFA reigning supreme with the best individual score. Even though Pro Sport® didn’t receive the winning title, the laid back conversation carried on well into the evening.

“Despite the torrential rain the course was in fantastic condition, ahead of the Masters event they are hosting very soon. Our team had a mixed day and didn’t get near the prizes but this didn’t stop us having a great laugh on the course and in the 19th.” – Gareth Griffiths

When grouped with such talented professional sportsmen, it was surely a game that they’ll never forget. Testing both their patience and golf know-how, it was immensely interesting to see how these football aficionados handled the sloping greens.

We look forward to more events with The Professional Footballers Association and thank Woburn Golf Club for the use of their breath-taking grounds.
