With the festive season in full swing, it’s the perfect time to come together and spread goodwill and kindness. Christmas offers a unique opportunity to support those in need and make a real difference. Through charitable initiatives, we not only give back but also strengthen the bonds within our team, who take great pride in having a positive impact in their local communities.
“The generosity and dedication of our team members during the Christmas period is something we’re incredibly proud of. It’s a reflection of the values we hold as a business. Seeing everyone come together to contribute in whatever way they can reminds me of the importance of building a team with purpose.
We’re all aware that Christmas can be a challenging time for many, whether it’s due to financial difficulties, isolation, or lack of access to essential services. This is why it’s important for businesses like ours to offer a helping hand where we can.” – Phil Rose, CEO
“At Rosebridge, we are committed to making a difference, not just at Christmas, but year-round. Supporting local charities and causes aligns with our ethos as a business that values responsibility and community. Christmas offers a spotlight on these efforts, but we are dedicated to sustaining them long into the future.” – Steven Banks, Head of Leeds Office
“At Rosebridge, we take pride in supporting causes close to home, especially at Christmas. It’s the season of giving, and it’s heartening to see our team’s enthusiasm in creating tangible impact. We don’t just talk about community – we’re actively involved in it, and that’s something we’ll continue to build on as we move into the New Year.” – Gareth Griffiths, Head of Chester Office
Mission Christmas
Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our wonderful clients and team, our Ramsbottom office has once again served as a drop-off point for Mission Christmas, a gift drive that helps bring the joy of Christmas to children in our community facing poverty.
Rosebridge matched the value of all donated gifts by way of a financial contribution, supporting Mission Christmas in purchasing presents for age groups that may receive fewer donations and to purchase specialist items for children with additional needs.
“Great work, team, and thanks to everyone who has supported and donated this year. Your generosity is much appreciated and makes a real difference.” – Phil Rose, CEO
Chester Football Club’s appeal for West Cheshire Foodbank
Throughout December, Chester FC and the Community Trust are helping the West Cheshire Foodbank by collecting donations to assist people in the community facing hardship. Sadly, the demand for emergency food continues to rise, making this support more important than ever.
In the 12 months to 31st March 2024, West Cheshire Foodbank issued 15,668 three-day emergency food parcels, a 6% increase from the previous year and double the amount from five years ago. Additionally, 141,012 individual meals were provided, and 134,000 tonnes of food was distributed across the area.
This year, we are pleased to once again gift a donation to support the vital work of the food bank, helping them continue to provide essential supplies to those in need.
Christmas jumper day for Save the Children
All three of our offices were excited to don their favourite festive jumpers and join in the fun for Christmas Jumper Day in support of Save the Children. From classic reindeer designs to sparkling snowflakes, our team showcased some memorable festive attire!
Save the Children works to improve the lives of children worldwide by providing education, healthcare, and emergency aid, as well as advocating for their rights and protection.
Ramsbottom Pantry
To round off the Christmas season, some of our Head Office team members will be volunteering at Ramsbottom Pantry on 17th December.
Ramsbottom Pantry works tirelessly to support the local community, providing essential items to those facing hardship both during the festive period and throughout the year. In addition, they run a free drop-in café every Thursday from 10:00am to 12:00pm, where locals can enjoy complimentary hot drinks, cake, and a friendly chat.
Alongside volunteering, we have also made a monetary donation to help ensure the Pantry can continue its vital work and bring comfort to those in need.
Save the family
Our Chester team has been delighted to continue their support of Save the Family, a charity dedicated to providing residential housing and round-the-clock support to homeless and at-risk families who have multiple and complex needs.
Based on the outskirts of Chester, their modern, multi-purpose facility offers 26 self-contained residential units, ranging from one-bedroom studio apartments to three-bedroomed accommodation, providing a secure environment and essential care.
This festive season, Chester sponsored their Christmas tree and attended their Christmas tree light switch on, with Gareth Griffiths doing the honours.
Giving back is at the heart of our Christmas spirit, and we look forward to continuing our support for charitable organisations throughout the festive season and into 2025.
We wish you and your families a peaceful and happy Christmas, from Phil, Steven, Gareth, and all the Rosebridge Team.
